Wonderful "Beef" or

"Chicken"Gravy

 

Ingredients

  • 2 T quick flour, such as Wondra flour
  • 1 T Earth Balance (Vegan alternative to butter, available at grocers and health food stores)
  • ½ cup soy milk
  • ½ cup water
  • “Beef” or “Chicken”seasoning

 

Preparation

        1. Melt Earth Balance over medium/low heat in small saucepan
        2. Add quick flour, soy milk, water, and seasoning to taste
        3. Stir constantly until it begins to thicken
        4. Makes 1 cup gravy
        5. Alternative 1:  To make a cheese sauce, use grated veggie cheese instead of “beef” or “chicken” seasoning. 
        6. Alternative 2:  Add crumbled, cooked vegetarian sausage instead of seasonings for a wonderful “sausage” gravy
